Mata Rani Poshak & Chunri - Buying Guide
Dressing Mata Rani in a new poshak is a cherished ritual during Navratri, Durga Puja and Diwali. Our collection includes silk Navratri dresses, lehenga patka sets, vastra sets of 2 in deep red, maroon and gold, and handmade designer poshak with fine handwork for Durga Maa, Lakshmi ji and other Devi idols.
Choosing the right Mata Rani dress
- Idol size: measure your murti and compare it with the size in each listing.
- For Navratri: many devotees choose a different colour each day, so a set of 2 or more is handy.
- Complete the shringar: add a solah shringar set and chunri.
Free delivery across India, with orders packed within 1-2 business days.
How to Choose the Right Dress Size
Deity dresses are made to fit the height of the idol, so a quick check before ordering makes sure the poshak sits perfectly.
- Measure the idol: measure your murti from the base to the top of the head and compare it with the idol size or size number in the product title.
- Check the set: many listings are sets of 2 or 3, so you can change the vastra for different days and festivals.
- Between two sizes? A slightly larger dress is usually easier to adjust than one that is too small.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these deity dresses handmade?
Most of our deity dresses are handcrafted with gota, zari, lace and stone work. Because they are made by hand, small differences in colour and work from the photos are normal and make each piece unique.
How should I care for the dress?
Spot clean gently, or hand wash in cold water without soaking the stone or zari work, and dry in the shade. Store the poshak folded in a soft cloth bag between uses.
Is delivery free?
Yes. Delivery is free all over India. Orders are usually packed within 1-2 business days and delivered in about 3-5 business days.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
No. Cash on Delivery is currently not available. Please pay securely online at checkout. New customers get 10% off their first order, applied automatically.
Can I return a dress?
You can request a return within 5 days of delivery if the dress arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, as long as it is unused and in its original packaging. Worn or washed items cannot be returned. See our Refund Policy for details.
